The Popular and Military Defence Forces Command signed a co-operation protocol on Tuesday with the Ministry of Social Solidarity, as part of the Armed Forces’ commitment to boosting co-operation with various state ministries and institutions. The protocol was signed by Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsy and Major General Hisham Hosny Hassan, Commander of the Popular and Military Defence Forces. The agreement aims to enhance joint efforts in support of the state’s sustainable development agenda through the co-ordination of public awareness and educational activities. It seeks to strengthen the values of loyalty and national belonging among all segments of society, raise awareness of the risks and challenges facing the state amid ongoing regional and international developments. It also aims to highlight the state’s efforts across various sectors to safeguard its achievements and national security. In a related context, the Military Academy for Post Graduate and Strategic Studies signed a co-operation protocol with Cairo University as part of the Armed Forces’ efforts to exchange expertise and expand scientific and practical training co-operation with Egyptian universities. The protocol was signed by Major General Mohamed Mahmoud Awad, Director of the Military Academy for Post Graduate and Strategic Studies, and Professor Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, President of Cairo University. The agreement aims to promote academic and scientific co-operation, exchange expertise, and implement joint postgraduate, professional, and training programmes. It also seeks to achieve greater integration between political sciences and security and strategic studies, while enhancing the analytical, research, and knowledge-based skills of participants from both institutions.
