ALBAWABA - Iran has put forward ideas to reach an agreement or a "peaceful solution" with the United States through Qatari mediators and is awaiting a final response from Washington, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Monday (U.S. time).
Speaking in New York, Araghchi revealed that his country had discussed ideas with Qatari mediators that would be presented to the U.S. side, while denying reports that Tehran had shown flexibility regarding the nuclear file.
Speaking to Iranian journalists on Monday, Araghchi explained that one of the objectives of his visit to New York, where he attended the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, was to inform the world of Iran's position regarding the conflict, specifically concerning the Strait of Hormuz.
He added that the Iranian delegation’s mission was to convey Iran’s conditions to the U.S. side and the international community, emphasizing that Tehran possesses a "fair and logical" plan in this regard.

Araghchi said in a statement, "If the Americans claim to be seeking an agreement or a peaceful solution, we have indeed put forward such a solution." He added that, despite the injustices and wars imposed upon it, Iran possesses a vision and diplomatic solutions, and is as prepared for diplomacy as it is for war.
He noted that Iran’s recent moves have improved the country's standing, altered how other nations view it, and demonstrated that it is the United States—not Iran—that is seeking war.
The Iranian Foreign Minister revealed that a seven-point plan had been conveyed to the U.S. side via a Qatari intermediary, noting that Tehran is still awaiting an official response despite statements made by US President Donald Trump.
He added that Iranian officials met with a Qatari mediator on Monday to discuss ideas for paving the way to implement Iran’s conditions, explaining that the mediators would present these ideas to the U.S. side again and subsequently relay the final response to Tehran.
