Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Media Council, the 24th Arab Media Summit, which opened Tuesday with its largest edition yet, continues until September 17 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.The second day of the summit will feature a series of exceptional dialogues exploring the future of media and the evolving content industry through an expanded programme of sessions and events.Today's agenda begins with workshops and discussion sessions on film and drama production, including a session titled "A Local Story. A Global Echo: The Dimensions of Cinema's Reach to the International Arena."The session "Doctor or Influencer, Who Do We Believe?" will examine the credibility of medical content on social media, while "Making Global Influence in the Media" will explore international media trends.The programme will continue with specialised sessions, including "A Trillion-Dollar Media Industry", a masterclass on "Artificial Intelligence in the Newsroom", and a screening of the Oscar-nominated documentary "From Inside Gaza."On political and strategic issues, a session titled "The Dimensions of the Scene and the Future of Stability in Lebanon" will be held, followed by a closed-door discussion on shifts in the balance of power.The summit will also feature sessions on "The Power of Art in Storytelling" and "Economic Media in the Age of Digital Platforms", as well as the signing of the book "But You Don't Look Arab."The agenda also includes "Impact Starts with Knowledge", sessions on "Film and TV Content on TikTok" and "The Gulf Cinema We Want to See", the launch of the "Arab Media in the Age of Artificial Intelligence" report, a session titled "From the Legacy of Trade to the Empowerment of Its Future", and a discussion on "The New Lebanese Media Law."The second day's programme also includes specialised workshops on filmmaking and podcast production, alongside discussion sessions featuring film and television stars, including "Women Making the Arab Drama Scene" and "From Cinema to Digital Platforms."
