Anwar Gargash: Iran’s attempts to violate UAE maritime sovereignty are mere pipe dreams

His Excellency Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, the Diplomatic Adviser to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, affirmed that attempts to control the Strait of Hormuz or to violate UAE maritime sovereignty are nothing but pipe dreams.His Excellency stated on his official account on the ‘X’ platform: ‘We have grown accustomed to Iranian bullying over many decades until it became part of the political landscape in the Arabian Gulf, and credibility was lost between aggressive rhetoric and hollow gestures of friendship. Today, after the blatant Iranian aggression, the regime is trying to establish a new reality born from a clear military defeat, but attempts to control the Strait of Hormuz or violate UAE maritime sovereignty are nothing but pipe dreams. Anyone who wants to coexist with the Arab environment must realise that trust is missing, and restoring it cannot be done with slogans, but through responsible language, safeguarding sovereignty, and genuine commitment to the principles of good neighbourliness.’
