Al Nassr reach AFC Champions League 2 final after big win over Al Ahli

Ahmed Issa, Emirates 247Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia qualified for the AFC Champions League 2 final after defeating Qatar’s Al Ahli 5–1 on Wednesday in the semi-final at Zabeel Stadium in Dubai. The match was strong and competitive from both sides and featured several missed chances. Al Nassr successfully turned an early one-goal deficit into a deserved and emphatic victory, securing a place in the Asian final, where they will face Japan’s Gamba Osaka at their home ground on May 16.At the start of the match, Al Ahli applied early attacking pressure and were awarded a penalty in the seventh minute, taken by Julian Draxler. However, Al Nassr goalkeeper Bento saved the attempt with an excellent stop. Al Ahli soon took the lead when Seko Omar scored in the 10th minute, but Al Nassr responded quickly and found the net through Coman, who completed a hat-trick in the 12th, 45+7 and 63rd minutes. Angelo Borges added another goal in the 23rd minute, before Abdullah Al Hamdan completed the five-goal haul in the 80th minute.Al Nassr crowned their impressive campaign with another strong result, recording their tenth consecutive victory in the tournament without a single defeat or draw. The team topped Group D with a perfect record of 18 points from six matches, then eliminated Arkadag of Turkmenistan in the Round of 16 with identical 1–0 wins home and away. They went on to defeat Al Wasl 4–0 in the quarter-finals, before continuing their winning run today to qualify for the final on merit.
