By Mohamed Attia The African Asian Union (AFASU) has honoured Ibrahim El-Shayeb, Chairman of Master Company Group, after he received the International Gold Award for Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Strategic Expansion in the hospitality and restaurant industry. Major General Ashraf Abu Eish, Secretary-General of the Union, said that the AFASU International Gold Award is a respected international recognition based on professional and scientific standards and evaluated by an international jury of experts, academics, and specialists from different countries. Abu Eish added that the group has successfully built a strong business operation, managing and operating international brands in strategic locations and international airports, while creating a positive economic and social impact. Ramadan Tantawy, Assistant Secretary-General for Relations at AFASU, added that the judging panel considered El-Shayeb a notable example of leadership, entrepreneurship, and strategic growth. He successfully turned an ambitious vision into an organisation with a clear economic and social impact and contributed to promoting a culture of quality, excellence, and innovation within the group. The ceremony was attended by Major General Dr Khaled Fouda, Honorary President of the African Asian Union; Dr Hossam Darwish, President of AFASU; Alain St. Ange, Board Member and Head of Awards Sector at the Union and former Minister of Tourism of Seychelles; and Major General Ahmed Abdullah, former governor of the Red Sea.
