The weather conditions are due to the high probability of convective cloud formation, associated with rainfall and fresh, strong winds, in the region tonight. The Abu Dhabi Municipality has announced the closure of all parks and recreational areas, as well as its beaches, and has also suspended all events until further notice, because of inclement weather. In such conditions, the NCM advises individuals to limit exposure outdoors, and keep windows and doors locked to prevent gusts from blowing into homes. The authorities also cautioned against driving unless it is absolutely necessary. The NCM’s advisory post on X stated: “Drive with caution and remain vigilant and alert to ensure the safety of all road users. Turn on low-beam headlights when visibility is reduced. Follow weather forecasts via official channels and be ready to comply with instructions issued by relevant authorities.”
