Abu Dhabi: Motorists in Abu Dhabi will benefit from free Darb tolls and Mawaqif public parking on Friday, August 28, for the public holiday for Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday, Q Mobility has announced.The company confirmed the holiday timings and fees for its toll gates and public parking services, with regular charges set to resume on Saturday, August 29.Which Darb toll gates will be free?Darb toll charges will be waived on Friday at the following gates:Sas Al NakhlAl MaqtaRabdanAl SaadiyatCharges at these gates will resume on Saturday, August 29, according to the approved toll timings.However, the Al Qurm and Ghantout toll gates will not be free during the holiday. Both will continue to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with a fee of AED 4 per crossing.Is Mawaqif parking free?Public parking spaces across Abu Dhabi will also be free on Friday, August 28, Q Mobility said.Regular Mawaqif parking fees will resume on Saturday, August 29, according to the usual timings and tariffs.The free parking, however, does not apply to multi-storey public parking buildings. Charges at these facilities will continue to apply around the clock at the usual rates.Customer Happiness Centres closedQ Mobility's Customer Happiness Centres in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain will be closed on Friday, August 28.The centres will reopen on Monday, August 31, during their regular working hours.Motorists will still be able to access Q Mobility's digital services throughout the holiday, with services available 24/7 through its website, the Darb app and the TAMM platform.
