Under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the 12th Riyadh Economic Forum is scheduled to be held from October 12 to 14 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, bringing together ministers, specialists from the public and private sectors, academics, businesspeople, and economic experts. Chairman of the Riyadh Chamber Eng. Abdullah Al-Obaikan expressed his appreciation to the Saudi leadership for its continued patronage of the forum, describing it as an extension of the longstanding support the event has received since its launch and a reflection of Saudi Arabia's commitment to strengthening the role of the private sector in economic development, SPA reported. He said the forum follows a well-established scientific methodology in preparing its studies, beginning with identifying priority issues and challenges facing the national economy. Specialized working groups comprising experts, academics, and representatives from the public and private sectors then conduct field studies and scientific analyses based on data, indicators, and international best practices. The findings are discussed during the forum's sessions to refine them and develop practical, implementable recommendations that support decision-makers, enhance the effectiveness of economic policies, and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Al-Obaikan added that the Riyadh Chamber takes pride in founding the forum, which reflects its role as a representative and enabler of the private sector. He noted that this role has become increasingly important under Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to increase the private sector's contribution to GDP. He added that the chamber supports this goal through institutional and strategic transformation initiatives that enhance its services to the business community.
