According to Al Khaleej and Newsd, the Presidential Court issued a formal decree announcing the mourning period and flag-lowering. UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan sent a personal condolence message to Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, describing the late sheikh as a brotherly figure. His deputies, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as well as rulers of individual emirates including Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi of Sharjah and Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi of Ajman, also dispatched formal condolences.
