Dubai's equity market led Gulf Cooperation Council bourses on Monday, with the Dubai Financial Market Index advancing to 5,878.49 points. The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange reached 9,940.83 points. Real estate activity remained robust, with a luxury villa sale in Jumeirah Golf Estates valued at 110 million dirhams, and a residential land parcel in Al Nahda First mortgaged for 418 million dirhams at an average rate of 9,163 dirhams per square foot.

Financial sector earnings strengthened performance metrics across the region. Diar Real Estate Development reported first-half 2026 profits of 298.3 million dirhams, representing 20 percent growth, with revenues of 952.6 million dirhams. Orient Insurance announced half-year earnings of 545 million dirhams, an 8 percent increase, supported by 5.22 billion dirhams in revenue. Dubai Homes REIT recorded half-year profits of 716.5 million dirhams with 15 percent growth. Alpha Abu Dhabi Holding reported earnings of 9.8 billion dirhams, a 48 percent increase year-on-year.

Crude oil prices declined on geopolitical de-escalation, with prices falling more than 6 percent following announcement of US-Iran negotiations. International air cargo demand strengthened with 8.5 percent growth in June, while passenger travel demand contracted 1.7 percent in the same period. Dubai International Airport maintained the world's largest seat capacity at 4.5 million seats in August, surpassing London Heathrow for the second consecutive month.
