Official Spokesperson of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen Major General Turki al-Malki said on Friday that 11 civilians were injured in Saudi Arabia's southern Najran region as a result of a terrorist attack by Yemen's Houthi group a day earlier. In a statement, al-Malki said seven of the injured included Saudi nationals, among them a woman and a four-year-old child who suffered second-degree burns, as well as one Yemeni, two Egyptian and one Pakistani resident. The statement added that the Houthi group carried out the attack by random firing of projectiles at civilian objects, calling it a "flagrant violation" of international humanitarian law and customary international law through the deliberate targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure. Al-Malki stressed that the coalition's Joint Forces Command would continue to take deterrent measures against such attacks to ensure the protection of civilians.
